Monthly Movie - Clueless

  • EMP Theatre 2328 Trent Street Victoria, BC, V8R 4Z3 Canada (map)

Join us for Monthly Movie Night - a free, community-driven film night that offers a welcoming space to gather, relax, and connect. Each screening takes place in a supportive, non-clinical environment and is designed to encourage shared experience, conversation, and a sense of belonging.

Evenings begin with a pre-movie performance by Friends of Music Society, featuring local musicians and creating a warm, community-centred atmosphere before the film begins.

Movies are selected for their heart, humour, or thought-provoking themes. Light snacks and refreshments are provided, and everyone is welcome - whether you attend with friends or come on your own.

Clueless follows Cher Horowitz, a wealthy and popular high school student in Beverly Hills, as she navigates the complexities of teenage life. Cher is known for her superficiality and her ability to manipulate social situations to her advantage. However, her world is turned upside down when two new students arrive, disrupting the established order. Cher's well-intentioned schemes to improve her grades and the social standing of her peers lead to unexpected complications and a journey of self-discovery. The film explores themes of love, friendship, and the importance of genuine connections over superficiality.
